“In-Focus: Juried Photography Exhibition”

Artist Prospectus

The Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts cordially invites you to enter the 2007

“In-Focus Juried Photography Exhibition”, September 20th - October 14th, 2007.

Type of Art: Photographers in film or digital format.

Prize Money: 1st Place: $250, 2nd Place: $150, 3rd Place: $100

Eligibility: 1. Artists, 18 or older, may submit four (4) works completed within the past 2 years and not previously shown at the RRCA or The Noyes Museum of Art

2. Open to all photographers using film/digital formats.

3. No piece may exceed 50 inches in width and 40 inches in height including frame. All works must be wired for hanging and suitably framed (no clips or fast frames).

4. RRCA/Noyes Museum will not assemble any item, and reserve the right to reject any work that requires an inordinate amount of difficulty in handling.

5. No wet, fragile or ill-prepared work will be accepted.

6. A 40% commission will be retained by the RRCA on the sale of any artwork.

7. All work must be for sale.

8. Label: Back right hand corner of each piece. Must include: Artist name, Title, Medium, Price.

No personal contact information on label.

Jury Fee: A $10 non-refundable fee per work submitted per artist at time of submission. Associate Artist

members are exempt from Jury Fee. Make checks payable to RRCA.

Receiving Dates: All works must be delivered to RRCA on Monday, September 17th, from 10 am - 4 pm.

Receiving times will not be extended under any circumstances.

If work is not accepted, artists will be notified on Tuesday, September 18th by telephone after 5pm.

Declined Work: Work must be picked up at the RRCA on Wednesday, September 19th, 11am – 4 pm.

Pick up times will not be extended under any circumstances.

A storage fee of $10.00 per day, will be levied for works not picked up during this time period.

Biography: Submitting artists should provide biographical information on receiving day.

No personal contact information is permitted on biography or during exhibition.

Reception: The Opening Reception will be held at the RRCA on Friday, September 21st, from 6 – 9 pm. Artists must bring one light refreshment for the reception.

NOTE: It is understood that all works submitted to this show will remain for the duration of the

exhibition and may not be withdrawn until designated pick up dates.

Show Closing: Exhibition closes on Sunday, October 14th. Unsold works must be picked up at the RRCA on

Sunday, October 14th, 11am - 4 pm. A storage fee of $10.00 per day will be levied for items not picked up during these dates.
